Other libraries
In addition to the Frescati Library, there are four other libraries at Stockholm University where you can use your university card or loan account. The information below mainly concerns the Asia Library.
The Asia Library is part of the university library (Frescati Library) and is located in its own premises in Kräftriket. Other libraries at Stockholm University that belong to a Department are the JMK Library, the Latin America Library, and the Mathematics Library.
Asia Library
The Asia Library is located in Kräftriket, close to the Department of Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish Studies. If you are a student at the Department of Asian, Middle Eastern and Turkish Studies, you have access to the Asia Library, via a port code that you receive from the Department or the library staff.
If you are an external visitor, please ring the doorbell during business hours and the library staff will open the doors for you.
Opening Hours
Regular opening hours are Tuesdays and Fridays 13.00 - 16.00.
The Asia Library is closed Friday 27 May.

Transport
Buses: 50, 639, 670 and 676 to bus stop Albano. From Odenplan, take bus 50 and get off at Albano.
Subway: (Red line towards Mörby C from T-Centralen): University Roslagsbanan: University
Car: Left on Roslagsvägen, direction north of Roslagstull.
Borrowing
The same lending rules apply at the Asia Library as at the Frescati Library.
Study Space and Computers
The Asia Library offers 26 individual study spaces, as well as a group room, which is non bookable. These spaces are primarily intended for students at the Department of
Asia, Middle Eastern and Turkish Studies. There are also reading rooms which are available for everyone.
On the upper floor of the library there are eight computers, all of which are equipped with word processors which can handle different alphabets and character systems.
Accessibility
The Asia Library is located one floor up without elevator access. It can therefore be difficult to get to the library, if disabled or wheel-chair bound. The library staff are on hand to help with literature searching, retrieval and lending of books. Please contact us before your visit and we will help you.
The Collections
The books at the Asia Library are arranged according to language: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic and Indian literature, as well as Asian literature written in western languages. There is also a separate room with reference literature in these languages.
Journals and Newspapers
In the library there is a Journal and Newspaper Room which is open to staff and students during normal library opening hours.
Other journals have been moved to the Frescati Library Repository and can be ordered via the Libris Catalogue.
