As a continuation of the governmental funding of strategic Baltic Sea research, this interdisciplinary network of young Baltic Sea researchers was formed at Stockholm University 2018.

We study changes in climate and the environment, both back in time and current conditions. Through climate models we also simulate future climate and environmental changes.

By analyzing landscape elements, we can reconstruct environments and processes that previously worked in the landscape, and we have a special focus on areas that are or have been covered by glaciers and ice sheets.

We do research on arthropod ecology and evolution, with a particular focus on trophic interactions.

Our research and teaching spans a wide field that includes landscapes, ecosystems and socio-ecological systems.

We investigate hydrological processes in water and land environments, the anthropogenic effects on these processes and their variability and change, both in time and space, to contribute to the knowledge and capacity advancement needed for sustainable development.
