This course focuses on practical teaching and is aimed at postgraduate students and researchers with little or no experience of teaching within the academic area for human science.

The main object of the course is to provide an opportunity for you to develop skill and confidence in your teaching by

  • getting acquainted with the regulations, rules and policies for university teaching
  • studying educational literature
  • identifying core concepts of teaching and students’ learning in Higher Education
  • observing a colleague’s teaching
  • planning different forms of teaching

This will all together provide a solid basis for your teaching.

In the autumn term of 2021 the course is held entirely on Zoom. The course contains synchronous as well as asynchronous assignments and offers five mandatory interactive seminars which give you good opportunities to reflect on and discuss both your role as a teacher and the students’ learning processes.

The course corresponds to a nominal two weeks' full-time work, i.e. 3 ECTS credits.

The course is bilingual, you are able to choose language for discussions and written assignments.
